In this section I wanted to showcase the bread-and-butter of design; posters, flyers, EDM's, marketing campaigns, annual reports and more. I'll be showcasing my work as an inhouse design for two companies in Australia; TAFE Queensland and ComLink. Both of these roles involved me following established branding guidelines, as well as utilizing my creativity, when needed.

ComLink (Winner of the Sunshine Coast Business of the Year) are a social support and transport organisation based throughout Queensland. As leaders in their industry, ComLink have won numerous awards and helped thousands of people live more enriching lives. They're also the happiest organisation on the planet with a company culture that strongly promotes optimism and creativity. 

For the cover of ComLink's New Employee Handbook, I opted to take my own photos, as opposed to relying on stock photography.

As a graphic designer for ComLink, I had the privilege of contributing to ComLink's mission by designing for both digital and print platforms. This included creating user interfaces for the website, engaging EDMs, impactful social media marketing materials, promotional videos, annual reports, internal logos, flyers, posters, vehicle signage and more.

Capturing heartfelt moments through videography allowed ComLink to demonstrate the real impact of their work to a wide audience. I produced, filmed and edited several of these videos for ComLink, such as the video below, which tells the story of Bruce, a ComLink volunteer. Bruce's story touches on what makes ComLink such an amazing organisation; they truly care. This video was used both on social media and the company website.

ComLink's Annual Reports were designed to be sleak and minimal. Additionally, genuine photography was used as much as possible to convey ComLink's authenticity.

I helped produce, film and edit several promotional videos for ComLink; including this heartfelt story of Bruce.

Whether it was documenting events, sharing success stories or telling the stories of our volunteers, drivers and staff - these video assets played a crucial role in conveying ComLink's mission and values to a broader audience.

In addition, these videos also allowed for the design library to be filled with genuine photography, as opposed to stock assets.

Furthermore, I had the opportunity to flex my creative muscles by designing internal logos and incorporating illustrations into various projects. These elements added depth and personality to ComLink's branding, reflecting the organization's vibrant culture and commitment to innovation.

My experience at ComLink not only allowed me to hone my design skills but also to immerse myself in a culture that promotes optimism, creativity, and a sense of purpose. Working alongside dedicated colleagues who share a passion for making a positive impact was both inspiring and rewarding.

Working as an in-house graphic designer for TAFE Queensland's marketing team was a rewarding experience. In this role I had the chance to bring concepts to life and visually communicate TAFE's messages across a variety of channels.

Not only did it involve ensuring that each touch-point adhered to TAFE's branding guidelines, but was also clear, concise and visually-compelling. Excitingly, it also meant being part of TAFE Queensland's work culture, a supportive and collaborative environment.

The fast-paced nature of TAFE's marketing team kept me on my toes, requiring the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This was also an environment that fostered a sense of innovation and creativity. TAFE's marketing team encouraged experimentation for design collateral that was used across important events, such as TAFE's Graduation, printed advertisements and Annual Shows.

Designing billboards and bus-ads for large-scale campaigns were a regular task in this role.

One of the most fulfilling aspects of the job was the diversity of projects. From designing print materials such as brochures, posters, and flyers to creating digital assets for social media campaigns, EDM's and website banners, there was never a shortage of creative challenges.

Each project presented a chance to showcase TAFE's programs in a to help attract prospective students and engage current ones.
